In the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, bold pastor-theologians stood up against the errors of Roman Catholicism and took the people back to the inspired Word of God as the sufficient source of all our theology. A Reformation had begun.
But the Protestant Reformation is not simply an event to remember or a museum to visit. What those pastor-theologians started was a process of reformation that must always continue for churches concerned with pleasing God. Semper Reformanda—Always Reforming—is the cry of the Reformation.
Reformed According to Scripture
Semper Reformanda is not about novelty or gimmicks, it is about continual reformation according to Scripture. The same inspired Word of God championed by Martin Luther and John Calvin is the same Word to which we must continually submit ourselves, our theology, our families, and our churches.
Join us in Southlake Texas in May of 2024 as we reflect upon some of these pastor-theologians of the Protestant Reformation, as we consider anew core doctrines they recovered, and as we submit ourselves once again to the inspired, authoritative, sufficient Word of God.
We will enjoy sound doctrinal preaching, robust singing of psalms and hymns, and rich fellowship with likeminded believers.
