Rev. Sean Morris is an ordained minister/teaching elder in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and was installed as the Associate Pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Oak Ridge on June 26, 2022.

Born and raised along America’s snowbelt in North Kingsville, Ohio, Sean attended Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania, earning his BA in Biblical and Religious Studies. He went on to earn his Master of Divinity (MDiv) from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi in December of 2014. Sean previously served as the Associate Pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church (PCA) of Roanoke, Virginia from May of 2015–May of 2022.

While in Mississippi, Sean served as stated pulpit supply for Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church in Natchez, Mississippi (the oldest Presbyterian church in that state, dating back to 1807), and as an intern to the Senior Minister at First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, Mississippi, serving under both Dr. J. Ligon Duncan and Dr. David Strain. Additionally, he served as an Honors Scholar and Teaching Assistant for the Academic Dean and the Chancellor during his time at RTS. He has also taught at West Africa Reformed Seminary in the Gambia.

In 2019, Pastor Morris completed his MTh (Master of Theology) studies with the University of Glasgow (Scotland), focusing on Scottish Theology and Church History. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Historical Theology from Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, Michigan. While in Virginia, Pastor Morris helped found the Blue Ridge Institute for Theological Education (BRITE), a presbytery-based theological training institution serving students throughout Appalachia and even around the world. Pastor Morris labored there as an instructor and as the Academic Dean.

Beyond theology, writing, and good literature, Sean is enthusiastic about good coffee and the "Three Bs"--Bach, Brahms, and Beethoven. He has written for various academic and popular level periodicals including Reformation21, Humane Pursuits, Ad Fontes, and the Puritan Reformed Journal. Sean and his wife, Sarah, live in Oak Ridge with their two sons, Benjamin and Gabriel; one daughter, Eleanor; and an adorably useless beagle, Max.
